Princeton College Democrats come out for progressive candidates

This "off year" election is shaping up to be crucial in our nation's response to the rise of authoritarianism and white nationalism. As progressives we believe deeply in civic engagement and participation in the democratic process as the best route towards a better country and a better world for all. We are happy to support students who share this vision and put it into action. To that end, Princeton Progressives supported Princeton College Democrats (PCD) in their canvassing on behalf of Mikie Sherrill and Dale Caldwell (Princeton '82) as they run for governor, and lieutenant-governor, of New Jersey; and also when PCD came to New York City on behalf of Zohran Mamdani, the progressive candidate running for mayor there.

The Alliance of Jewish Progressives is extremely grateful to Princeton Progressives for giving us the funding necessary to attend the Conference on the Jewish Left in Boston. We made some valuable connections, had some fun but unexpected encounters with Princeton alums, and learned lessons from fellow Jewish leftists for future left-wing organizing among the Jewish community on Princeton's campus.
