Princeton Students Canvassing for Zohran Mamdani

On September 27th, Princeton students travelled to NYC to canvass for Zohran Mamdani who is running for Mayor. PPro funded travel expenses for these students. Per Michelle Miao '26, President of Princeton College Democrats (PCD):

The Zohran Mamdani canvass was a success!! We had 13 attendees, most of whom were new to PCD and hadn't canvassed with us before, so the event was definitely a success in attracting fresh membership. The turfs we received for door-knocking were very condensed because we were targeting apartment buildings, which meant a very high efficiency rate. My canvassing partner and I spoke to a wide range of voters - the campaign is reaching out to both registered Democrats and Independents who may be likely Democratic voters. Just about all of the younger people we met were very supportive, and many had volunteered for Zohran's campaign, while a lot of the older people were either undecided (or strongly against him). In that case, the consensus among PCD was that we still had fruitful discussions about our differences and maybe even convinced a few people to reconsider Zohran's platform. Overall it was a great trip, and it was really awesome to meet volunteers from New York who all shared our enthusiasm for such an exciting and progressive candidate.
